Essential Functions
- Operate straightening press equipment to straighten metal parts according to specifications.
- Set up presses, tooling, and fixtures for assigned jobs.
- Operate Wheelabrator equipment as required to clean and prepare metal parts according to work instructions and safety procedures.
- Able to read and follow specified layouts, procedures, and operating charts.
- Inspect parts using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure quality standards are met.
- Make adjustments to equipment to achieve required tolerances.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work area clean and organized.
- Meet agreed upon manufacturing goals on time.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- Able to communicate in English with team members (Speak and reading, writing ability required.)
- May be required to pass employer performance tests including pre-employment drug screening.
- Previous press operation experience preferred.
- Able to read tape measure, pressure gauge, precision measurement tools.
- Ability and willingness to follow directions as well as the ability to work independently requiring little or no supervision.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Working Conditions
- Works in a Production Shop atmosphere.
- Exposed daily to continual noise from machines.
Equipment/Machinery Used
- Straightening press, Wheelabrator, and Forklift.
Physical Requirements
- Able to stand for 8 to 10 hours at a time.
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
