Essential Functions
- Ensure that the company remains in compliance and adheres to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines to reduce work-related injuries.
- Perform functions for reporting work related injuries/illnesses to Workers’ Compensation Insurance Carrier and/or OSHA.
- Maintain documentation for work site inspections and safety related training. Provide recommendations for improving safety in the workplace.
- Manages hazardous waste collection/disposal activities and maintains documentation supporting DEQ/EPA Very Small Quantity Generator requirements.
- Work with managers on return-to-work programs.
- Work with team members in the shop approximately 60% of time planning and resolving workplace safety concerns.
- Meets agreed upon Company and department goals in a timely manner.
- Coordinate monthly Safety Meetings and record meeting minutes.
- Coordinate plant safety walks and record findings.
- Working knowledge of safety management information system.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- Able to communicate in English with team members (Speak and reading, writing ability required.)
- May be required to pass employer performance tests including pre-employment drug screening.
- One – three years’ safety-related experience.
- Working knowledge of PC, Microsoft, Outlook.
- Ability and willingness to follow directions as well as the ability to work independently requiring little or no supervision.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future.

- Able to lift 25 lbs.
- Able to sit for 8 to 10 hours at a time.
