As a KEITH Manufacturing Co. Painter I – Prep in our Stationary Value Stream, you will be responsible for preparing material to be painted by removing grease, slag, dust or debris.  You will operate a spray painter to apply industrial paint finishes on metal or aluminum parts.  The ideal candidate will have a steady hand and keen attention to detail.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for preparing surfaces to be painted and remove grease or dirt from parts, mix paints, match colors and general knowledge of paint composition
  • Able to operate required machinery in the area
  • Understand proper Quality Control standards and perform QC inspections
  • Meets agreed upon manufacturing goals in a timely manner
  • Arrive at work, meetings and other work-related function on time and as scheduled

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience preferred
  • May be required to pass employer performance tests
  • Able to operate machinery in the area
  • Ability and willingness to follow directions as well as the ability to work independently

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Work in a shop environment
  • Exposure daily to continual noise from machines

PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS

  • Able to sit or stand for 10 hours at a time
  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs
