As a KEITH Manufacturing Co. Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, connecting, testing, and maintaining electrical systems and telecommunications equipment in our manufacturing plant.  All KEITH Manufacturing Co. team members work safely and efficiently.  They also meet agreed upon goals in a timely manner and arrive at work, meetings, and appointments, and other work-related functions on time as scheduled.


Essential Functions

  • Test electrical systems using tools that include voltmeters, oscilloscopes and ohmmeters to determine where issues may be occurring, the safety of the system and to ensure compatibility
  • Determine the steps necessary to assess an electrical situation using testing devices, blueprints and maps
  • Document actions testing results, observations, final diagnosis of the situation and steps taken to resolve issues for each job or situation
  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge of controls and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment
  • Maintain a “customer first” mindset for productivity and quality
  • Maintain 6S in work area
  • Follow established safety practices and procedures
  • Meets agreed upon manufacturing goals in a timely manner
  • Arrive at work, meetings, appointments, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid Oregon Journeyman Electrician License or reciprocal license for AR, ID, ME, MT, UT, or WY. Both OR and WA license a bonus
  • Able to read blueprints and other wiring diagrams
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Maybe required to pass employer performance test
  • Lean manufacturing experience preferred
  • Able to read blueprints and other wiring diagrams

Peripheral Duties

  • Works in shop environment
  • Able to climb ladders and perform duties at heights over 6 feet
  • Exposure to continual noise daily from machines

Equipment/Machinery Used

  • Various area-specific equipment and machinery
  • PC Computer

Physical Requirements

  • Able to sit or stand for 10 hours at a time
  • Able to lift 25 lbs.
