As A KEITH Manufacturing Co. Industrial Painter 1, you will be responsible for preparing material to be painted by removing grease, slag, dust or debris.  You will operate a spray painter to apply industrial paint finishes on metal or aluminum parts.  The ideal candidate will have a steady hand and keen attention to detail.

Essential Functions

  • Ensure all surfaces are clean and ready to accept paint
  • Paint material in a paint booth, utilizing a paint sprayer
  • Inspect completed parts to meet KEITH Quality Control standards
  • Clean and flush paint system, as needed
  • Reload the painting system with paint or solvents, as needed
  • Replace paint filters and update paint filter log, as needed
  • Follow safety and security policies and procedures
  • Maintain a clean work environment
  • Able to operate the required machinery in the area
  • Maintain a “customer first” mindset for productivity and quality
  • Maintain 6S in the work area
  • Meets agreed upon Company and department goals in a timely manner
  • Arrives to work, meetings, and appointments, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled

Peripheral Duties

  • Able to operate other equipment in the area when necessary
  • Ability to interpret instructions and respond to directions
  • Inspect all equipment periodically to ensure it is operating properly and replace faulty equipment

Minimum Qualifications

  • Previous experience painting on metal surfaces with a sprayer
  • Familiar with spray equipment maintenance, adjustments, and clean-up
  • Prepping experience preferred
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • May be required to pass employer performance tests
  • Be at least 18 years of age

Working Conditions

  • Works in a Production Shop
  • Exposure to continual noise daily from machines

  • Abrasive Cleaning Equipment
  • Straightening Press

Physical Requirements

  • Able to sit or stand for 10 hours at a time
  • Able to lift 25 lbs.
