KEITH Manufacturing Co. is expanding and introducing a new line of KEITH® WALKING FLOOR®.  We are searching for a Production/Manufacturing Group Leader to lead our Freight Runner Value Stream at our Madras, Oregon, facility. You will be responsible for providing direct leadership and coordinate all manufacturing activities in a value stream from order entry process to finished goods. You will also train and coach Team Leaders and Team Members to achieve maximum profitability, growth, and team member engagement in line with KEITH Manufacturing Co. vision and values.

Essential Functions

  • Directs and manages the overall production plan for the operation including Weekly production planning (production board updates & production schedule generation)
  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency. Sets and communicates standards, deploys resources, and achieves clear and measurable performance expectations for the operation
  • Collaborates with manager and sets short- and long-term production goals for the value stream
  • Provides strategic guidance and resources to troubleshoot highly complex issues related to value stream operations and customer service
  • Ability to drive a high-performance culture and high-performance team members
  • Manpower/vacation scheduling (attendance board updates)
  • TM/TL hiring, development, coaching, and cross-training
  • Internal & external value stream corrective actions
  • Cover TL absence
  • Confirm routine quality checks
  • Report/track daily production results (Tier board meetings)
  • Coordinate major maintenance
  • Process improvement activities: productivity, quality, ergonomics, etc.
  • Cost reduction activities
  • Reviews and analyzes reports of key business performance data
  • Coordinate activities around major model changes
  • Coordinate efforts with support teams: engineering, sales, accounting & shipping
  • Team morale
  • Group safety performance
  • Work with other value streams and functional areas to meet shared goals of all KEITH teams
  • Serve as a member of various organizational committees/workgroup

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree or
  • Six years lean experience in lieu of degree
  • Engineering or technical experience
  • New project launch experience

Working Conditions

  • Works in a Production Shop
  • Exposed daily to continual noise from machines

Equipment/Machinery Used

  • PC Computer

Physical Requirements

  • Able to sit or stand for 8 to 10 hours at a time
  • Able to lift 25 lbs.
