As a KEITH Manufacturing Co. Extrusion Operator on the swing shift, you will be responsible for setup, operation, maintenance, and repair of specific machines.  The ideal candidate will also have a steady hand and great attention to detail.

Shift:  3:15 pm – 1:45 am   Monday – Thursday     Overtime may be required

Essential Functions

  • Load and unload material or parts from the machines
  • Make minor adjustments to the machine controls
  • Set-up and perform change overs on all equipment
  • Record process settings and part dimensions
  • Read and follow specified layouts, procedures, and operating charts
  • Perform repetitive operations
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Responsible for checking completed parts to meet KEITH Quality Control standards
  • Understand proper quality control standards and perform QC inspections
  • Maintain a “customer first” mindset for productivity and quality
  • Maintain 6S in work area
  • Meets agreed upon manufacturing goals in a timely manner
  • Arrive at work, meetings, appointments, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled

Peripheral duties

  • Communicate with Leads any operating concerns
  • May operate other machinery in the area when necessary

Minimum Qualifications

  • Previous experience preferred
  • Demonstrate knowledge and willingness to learn about Lean Principles
  • May be required to pass employer performance test
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Able to read a tape measure, pressure gauge, level and square

Working Conditions

  • Works in Production Shop
  • Exposure to continual noise daily from machines

Equipment/Machinery Used

  • Various machinery
  • Forklift

Physical Requirements

  • Able to sit or stand for 10 hours at a time
  • Able to lift 25 lbs.
