As a KEITH Manufacturing Co. Electrical Engineer, your responsibility will be determined by your level of experience.

As an Electrical Engineer 1, you will work under close supervision as you apply principles of engineering to secondary or detail design and research tasks, the results of which are subject to review before incorporation into primary projects.  You will assist higher classified engineers with the analysis and validation of design and theoretical concepts, using established research techniques.

Essential Functions

  • Under supervision, design KEITH products or systems, such as instruments, controls, engines, and hydraulic systems, utilizing and applying knowledge of engineering principles

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical or electronic engineering
  • Previous engineering experience preferred

An Electrical Engineer 2, will work under general supervision and with some latitude for unreviewed action, execute projects that require the creation evaluation of the original design of moderately complex projects or delegated parts of major projects.  You will participate in the analysis and validation of design and theoretical concepts, working from and adapting a wide range of established research techniques.

  • Plan and design electrical, mechanical or electromechanical products or systems of significant complexity and scope under general supervision
  • May direct and coordinate operation and repair activities
  • Design products or systems, such as instruments, controls, engines, machines, and hydraulics, utilizing and applying knowledge of engineering principles with some latitude for unreviewed action

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical or electronic engineering
  • 3 – 5 years of previous relevant experience

Our Electrical Engineer 3, will plan and design electrical or mechanical KEITH products or systems of extreme complexity and scope.  You may direct and coordinate operation and repair activities.  Also, design products or systems, such as instruments, controls, engines, machines, and hydraulic systems, utilizing and applying knowledge of engineering principles.

Essential Functions

  • Plan and design electrical, mechanical or electromechanical products or systems of significant complexity and scope
  • Direct and coordinate operation and repair activities
  • Design products or systems, such as instruments, controls, engines, machines, and hydraulics, utilizing and applying knowledge of engineering principles

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical or electronic engineering
  • More than five years of previous relevant experience

  • Responsible for checking completed parts to meet KEITH Quality Control standards

Peripheral Duties

  • Assist shop team members when necessary regarding design or manufacturing

Minimum Qualifications

  • May be required to pass employer performance tests
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Lean experience preferred
  • Demonstrate effective verbal, written, and communication skills
  • Analytical and detail oriented
  • Proficient use of 3D modeling software, with a preference in inventory experience
  • Able to read a tape measure, pressure gauge, precision measurement tools
  • Ability and willingness to follow directions
  • Able to work independently

Working Conditions

  • Primarily work in an office environment
  • Able to work on the production floor and work in a manufacturing environment
  • Exposed daily to continual noise from machines
  • Exposure to intense light and hot materials

Equipment/Machinery Used

  • PC Computer
  • Engineering design software, Inventor Plus
  • Forklift and cranes
  • Precision measuring equipment

Physical Requirements

  • Able to sit or stand for 8 to 10 hours at a time
  • Able to lift 25 lbs.
