Keith
/KEITH Mfg. Co. History:
The
evolution of the KEITH®WALKING
FLOOR®
unloader began more than 50 years ago, when Keith Foster
first entered the material handling industry by creating
specialized agricultural equipment. In the 1970s the
WALKING FLOOR®
brand was introduced.
Interest
in the self-unloading system gained momentum in the
1980s when a WALKING FLOOR®
unloader was installed in a semi-trailer hauling municipal
solid waste. The WALKING FLOOR®
system quickly became a staple in the waste and recycling
industries, with its popularity growing worldwide.

The
KEITH Mfg. Co. of today bears little resemblance to the
KEITH of 30 years ago. When Keith Foster set out to build
the first WALKING FLOOR®
system, his resources consisted of a handful of employees.
Today, KEITH Mfg. Co. encompasses international locations,
a global network of dealers and more than 250 worldwide
patents. Both mobile and stationary units are used throughout
the world in the refuse & recycling, agriculture,
ice, cotton, wood products and paper industries.
Keith
built his company around one goal—to produce the
most economical, efficient and safest self-unloading
system available. With his sound work ethic and innovative
streak, he has placed an indelible and enduring mark
on the company that bears his name.
